ORIENTATION COURSE

Canadian Health Care System, Culture and Context

The post arrival version of the Orientation to the Canadian Healthcare System, Culture and Context is designed for internationally educated health professionals who are living in Canada, and are in the process of becoming licensed, and have already gained some experience with the Canadian context through their daily experiences.  This 30-hour course will provide learners with a deepended understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, what Canadian patients expect from their health care providers, and how to communicate with patients and caregivers.  Participants will have an opportunity to meet other newly healthcare professionals in a supportive learning environment.

In-class delivery:  Now accepting applications for the Spring 2010 Toronto classroom session.  Session begins on Saturday March 20, 2010 (classes take place on March 20, April 10, April 17, May 8 and May 29, 2010)

On-line delivery: Now accepting applications for the Spring 2010 online session!  on-line session begins Tuesday April 13, 2010 and runs through Tuesday June 15, 2010.

Application deadline is Wednesday March 31, 2010
